Reactions to the fire alarm were very disappointing. First of all, using the fire alarm to run away does not work when we are thirty miles from the nearest freeway. Second, the desert is cold at night. Just... oh dear. Anyone caught a cold, meds can be obtained from my office.

Quite a few students have been complaining of their books being confiscated. I would like to inform them that an official list does, in fact, exist. I've typed it up for you ( here )

All books recieved so far that were not on this list have been returned. If you find yourself missing a book that does not appear on this list, please comment and we will either return the book to you, or add it to the list.

This list is subject to addition at any time.

Attention students! The rules have been changed. Please note the modification in school rules 4 and 5. The rules, formerly:

4. Students must wear the full school uniform within school hours. This uniform consists of
* Light grey shirt or blouse.
* Black tie.
* Dark grey slacks, skirt or pinafore.
* Light grey sweater.
* White socks.
* Black, practical shoes (slip-on).
* Black bookbag.
* (Optional) Black blazer with school crest.
* (Optional) Dark and light grey striped scarf.
* (Optional) Dark grey gloves.
Optional clothing may not be worn inside of the classroom.

5. Outside of school hours, a tracksuit consisting of
* Black polo shirt with white stripe and school name.
* Black tracksuit bottoms (unbranded)
* Black tracksuit jacket with white stripe and school name.
Or regulation white pyjamas.

For Boys

* Black, practical shoes (pumps).

For both

* Black tie.
* Underwear. (Underwear may be foregone only while using the bathroom.)

OOC: These files can never be accessed. They are not saved on the mainframe or on Yumiko's laptop, but on a memory stick she keeps at the bottom of the perscriptions cabinet in an empty box of paracetamol.

Powdered sugar.

All artificial sweeteners (in their uncooked form), including;
- Aspartame (Nutrasweet, Equal, etc.)
- Saccharin (Sweet 'n' Low)
- Sucralose (Splenda)
- Neotame (Calogran)
- Acesulfate potassium (Nutrinova)
Cinnamon.
Pixy Stix.
Sherbet.
Salt.
Ginger.
Flour.
Baking Soda.
All (excepting Pixy Stix and Aspartame) are available for use in the kitchens only.

Talc.
Dessicant.
Baby powder.
Powdered make-up. (Solid make-up is acceptable, but students are reminded that colours are to be kept natural)

Illegal substances (which carry heavy penalties), including:
- Gamma Hydroxybutyric Acid (GHB)
- Ketamine (Special K, Cat Valium)
- Cocaine
- Dextromethorphan (DXM)
- Ecstasy (E, XTC)
- Heroin
- Methamphetamine (Meth, Speed)

Any drug not perscribed by the school nurse and/or moderated by the Head of Dorm, including;
- Painkillers (aspirin, paracetamol, tylenol)
- Contraception ("the pill")
- Diet suppliments (Vitamin and mineral suppliments)
All are available on request from the Infirmary.

Any alcahol including
- Rubbing alcahol
- Alcahol for "medicinal purposes."

Flammable liquids including
- Parrafin.
- Lighter Fluid.
- Bleach
- Oil
- Petrol

Cigarettes and tobacco. 

Syringes.

Electronic devices. (Watches are allowed. Other items may be allowable. Consult a teacher.)

Furthermore, in incoming mail the following items will be confiscated immediately:

Any liquid (may be returned subject to testing) including;
- Bottled water
- Lemonade
- Perfumes and fragrances
- Sprays and aerosols
- Deodrants

Toothpaste.

Any blades or sharp objects including
- Cuticle cutters
- Mathematical compasses
- Penknives or Swiss Army knives.
